As the super absorbent resin is a polymer electrolyte, the presence of salts in water and the change of pH value can significantly affect the absorbent capacity of the resin.

How to reduce the inorganic salt in sewage into SAP network structure?

Solution a:

A number of layers of specific molecular sieves are added outside SAP by chemical bonding, and the sieves contain ions that precipitate metal ions.

Action: set many concentration gradients to reduce the concentration of soluble salts and prevent the entry of precipitated salts.

Solution b:

Introduce long chain hydrophobic monomer.The thickener with better temperature and salt resistance can be obtained.That is, the spatial grid structure with a certain strength is formed due to hydrophobic association.If octadectadecyl methacrylate was introduced into the conventional acrylic thickener, the electrolyte properties were effectively improved.

Programme economy:

SAP can be a starch modified super absorbent resin;

Advantages: abundant source of raw materials, the product water absorption rate is higher, usually more than 1000 times.

Disadvantages: low gel strength after water absorption, poor long-term water retention, easy to be decomposed by bacteria and other microorganisms in the use of water absorption, water retention.But the water after sewage treatment is to use, so water retention is not considered, microorganisms in the front has been removed.

Therefore, if feasible, this method is cost-effective.
